Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

1st round of elastic: 1 ch, 1 sc c/st. Spin.

Step 2

2nd round: 1 ch, 1 sc in ch, point only through the back loop. Spin.

Step 3

Rep V2 until you have the measurement of the head circumference, in my case 52 cm.

Step 4

We join this piece in the round with the invisible seam explained in the video.

Step 5

Central part of the crochet hat.

Step 6

1st round: Once the elastic is attached, we take out the stitches all the way around doing a half stitch (see video). We must get an even number of points. Join in the round. In my case I use the union.

2nd round: 2 chains or start without chains, 1 pm for the horizontal strand (see video) c/st. bind.

3rd round: same as the previous one.

4th round: 2 ch, skip 1 stitch, *1 sc through the horizontal strand in the next, skip 1 stitch, 1 ch* rep from * to * until finishing the round. Bind.

5th round: 1 puff stitch in each gap of 1 ch. Join in the round.

6th round: 2 ch, skip 1 stitch, *1 sc in next, skip 1 stitch, 1 ch* rep from * to * until finishing the round. Bind.

Step 12

rep V1-6 until you have 75% of the total measurement of the hat including the elastic, in my case about 17 cm. Stop where you are in the rep when you reach.

Step 13

Crochet hat decreases crochet.

Step 14

Now we are going to shape the top of the hat.

1st round: *1 dec in dc, 1 dc in each next 1st. 3 points.* rep from * to * until you reach the end of the round. Bind.
