Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Step 1

Materials and Start: Use 5-ply cotton yarn and a 3mm hook. Base body: R1: ch 39. From the 2nd ch from the hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch [38]. R2–R36: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each stitch. (35 rows) [38].

Step 2

Step 2

Closing the Body: Fold the crocheted piece in half and crochet the sides to close the purse. Since we crocheted 36 rows, you will have 18 sc to close each side. When you finish one side, cut the yarn and repeat the process on the other side.

Step 3

Flap R1-R8: Join the yarn at the first row of the base. Crochet over the bottom loops of the chains. R1: ch 1, 1 sc in each loop. [38]. R2-R8: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each stitch. [38].
