Step 1
MATERIALS & MEASUREMENTS: 4.00 mm hook. Medium weight yarn (#4). Color A (510m), B (170m), C (170m). Bag measures 51 cm wide by 36 cm deep. Make 2 panels.

KEY ABBREVIATIONS: sc = single crochet, dc = double crochet, sl st = slip stitch, dec = decrease. Fsc = Foundation Single Crochet.

PANEL - R1 (Color A): Start with Fsc 55. This creates the base of the bag. Turn at the end of the row. (55 sts)

R2-5 (Increases in A): R2: sc to end, 2 sc in last st (56). R3: sc 56. R4: sc to end, 2 sc in last st (57). R5: sc 57.

ASSEMBLY (Sides): With right sides facing, join the sides and bottom of the bag using sl st or sewing. Fasten off.

JOIN STRAPS: Make sure the straps are not twisted. Join them on each individual side where the openings meet.

OPENING BORDER: Work one round of sc evenly around the openings and the straps. Use dec to join the end of the short rows with the next row. Turn the bag right side out.
