BASE: Using Caramel yarn, chain 100 + 1 ch to turn. Work R1 in single crochet (sc) in each ch. (100 sc).

ROWS 2-10: Continue working in ribbed sc (back loop only) in each stitch. This creates the 'accordion' texture.

ROW 11 (Opening): 44 ribbed sc, then ch 44. Skip the next 44 sts. Finish with 12 ribbed sc.

ROWS 12-30: Continue working in ribbed sc over all stitches, including the 44 chain stitches from the previous row.

ROW 31 (Opening 2): Repeat the opening: 44 ribbed sc, ch 44, skip 44 stitches, 12 ribbed sc.

ROWS 32-40: Finish by crocheting 9 more rows in ribbed sc over all stitches. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

FINISHING AND SEAMING: Fold the piece and sew the side seams, as well as the top and bottom, to form the sleeve/stand.
