Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Materials & Stitches: T-shirt yarn (Porcelain Pink, Turquoise, Chrome Gray), 7mm hook, 25mm ring, 12cm white zipper. Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, centered sc (waistcoat stitch).
Step 2
Base (Pink) - Rnds 1-2: Rnd 1: Magic ring or ch 4. Work 8 centered sc inside the circle. Rnd 2: Inc in each st (1 centered sc, 1 inc), repeat all around = 16 sts.
Step 3
Base (Turquoise) - Rnds 3-4: Rnd 3: 1 centered sc, 1 inc, repeat all around = 24 sts. Rnd 4: 2 centered sc, 1 inc, repeat all around = 32 sts.
Step 4
Base (Gray) - Rnds 5-6: Rnd 5: 3 centered sc, 1 inc, repeat all around = 40 sts. Rnd 6: Work 40 centered sc without any increases.
Step 5
Sides (Gray) - Rnds 7-11: Rnds 7 to 10: Work 40 centered sc in each round. Rnd 11: Work a finishing round (sl st) in each st for a neat edge. Make 2 identical pieces.
Step 6
Strap (Gray): Ch 30. Join in a circle, work 1 finishing round of sl st around all chains, then 1 sc in each ch to reinforce the strap. Fasten off.
Step 7
Assembly: Place both pieces with right sides facing out (wrong sides together). Sew around the sides and the base, leaving the top opening free for the zipper.
Step 8
Finishing & Zipper: Sew the 12 cm zipper into the top opening. Fold a 20 cm gray yarn in half and attach it to the zipper pull. Place the metal ring on the strap and hook it to the end of the zipper. Done!
