With red yarn, make a magic ring of 4 single crochets.
Step 2
Do not close the magic ring yet. Remove your hook and leave the stitches on hold.
Step 3
With white yarn, make a slip knot on your hook.
Step 4
Crochet 4 single crochets into the ring next.
Step 5
Close the magic ring with the red yarn.
Step 6
You will have a two-colored magic ring (8).
Step 7
Rounds 2 to 32: With red yarn, crochet 4 single crochets; with white yarn, crochet 4 single crochets (4).
Step 8
Round 33: Fasten off the white yarn. With red yarn, crochet 8 single crochets (8).
Step 9
Insert the bent and twisted wire, wrapped in electrical tape, inside the candy cane.
Step 10
Close the piece and shape the candy cane with your hands.
