Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Let's start crocheting the little snowflake. For one, we need a small bead, so first we must thread it onto the yarn.

Step 2
Make sure the hole in the bead is large enough for the yarn to pass through.

Step 3
Make a slip knot, take the bead, bring it close to the knot, and slide it so it stays fixed on the yarn.

Step 4
Crochet four chains: 1, 2, 3, and 4. Join with a slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.

Step 5
Start the first round with two chains and crochet 12 half double crochets, working through both the chain ring and the bead’s loop.

Step 6
After making six half double crochets, continue only in the chain ring to complete 12. Close with a slip stitch.

Step 7
For the second round, crochet two half double crochets together, then two chains and a picot of three chains. Close the picot with a slip stitch.

Step 8
Crochet two more chains and join with two half double crochets together. Repeat: two chains, picot of three, two chains, two half double crochets together.

Step 9
Continue around until you have six groups of half double crochets with their picots. Close with a slip stitch in the first group.

Step 10
Start the third and final round. Make two half double crochets together, three chains, and form the first petal of the clover.

Step 11
Make the second picot with four chains and the third with three, all joined in the same stitch to form the clover.

Step 12
After the clover, crochet two slip stitches to return to the start, then three chains, a picot, and another three chains.

Step 13
Attach to the second bar and make two half double crochets together. Repeat the entire sequence until the round is complete.

Step 14
To make the garland, decide the design. For example, two beads between each snowflake.

Step 15
Before joining, thread all the beads needed onto the yarn. For three snowflakes, use eight beads.

Step 16
Make a slip knot and crochet seven chains. On the eighth, add a bead and continue with seven more chains.

Step 17
Repeat the pattern: seven chains, a bead in the eighth, until you reach the desired length.

Step 18
Attach the snowflake with a half double crochet into the largest clover petal to join it to the garland.

Step 19
Repeat: seven chains, bead, seven chains, snowflake, until all snowflakes are attached. Adjust spacing as desired.

Step 20
If you want the snowflakes to be stiffer, dip them in a mix of half water and half white glue. Let them dry overnight.
