Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Step 1

Preliminary explanation: Classic finish is to cut the yarn and pass it through the loop to make a knot. Invisible finish is the same but then create a false stitch to make the join invisible.

Step 2

Step 2

The yarn thickness category is 4 and I will use 1 skein of each.

Step 3

Step 3

We start the gift by creating the cube with 6 small green squares. R0: Make 12 ch + 1 turning ch.

Step 4

Step 4

R1 to R12: Work 1 sc in each stitch (12) (Total: 12 rows)

Step 5

Step 5

R3: Crochet 1 sc in each stitch around the square to form a frame. In the corners, make 2 sc in the same stitch to ease the turn. When you return to the first stitch, finish with a classic ending and hide the tail.

Step 6

Step 6

Repeat this same pattern for the other 5 squares. Sew the squares together to form a cube. Leave the top open.

Step 7

Step 7

On the cardboard, draw 3 lines every 8 cm and fold them along those lines to form a cube. Then, insert it inside the green crochet cube to give it more firmness.

Step 8

Step 8

For the bow and ribbon we will use red yarn mixed with silver sequin yarn. R0: Make chains until you get a chain between 110 and 112 cm long.

Step 9

Step 9

R1 to R3: Work 1 sc in each stitch (3 rows in total). Finish with a classic ending and hide the yarn tail.

Step 10

Step 10

Wrap the ribbon around the gift and make a decorative bow. Don’t tighten it too much to avoid damaging the cardboard.

Step 11

Step 11

With silver yarn, make a small loop or ring and tie it to one corner so you can hang your ornament on the tree.
