Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

BODY A (R1-R3): With A (Gray), Magic Ring with 8 sc (R1). R2: 16 sc. R3: [2 sc, 1 sc] rep (24 sc).

Step 2

BODY A (R4-R7): R4: [2 sc, 5 sc] rep (28 sc). R5-R7: 1 sc in each st (28 sc). Lightly stuff the piece.

Step 3

BODY A/B (R8-R10): R8: [Dec, 5 sc] rep (24 sc). R9-R10: 24 sc. At the end of R10, join color B (Black) and cut A.

Step 4

BODY B (R11-R13): With B: R11: [Dec, 4 sc] rep (20 sc). R12-R13: 20 sc. Stuff the body firmly before the next decreases.

Step 5

BODY CLOSE (R14-R16): R14 (16 sc). R15 (12 sc). R16: 6 dec (6). Fasten off, close the opening, and weave in the end.

Step 6

FACE (Base): With C (White), ch 10. R1: 9 sc. R2: [Sk 1 sc, 5 dc, sk 1 sc, sl st] rep twice. Fasten off.

Step 7

FACE (Assembly): Insert 6 mm eyes at the base of the 5 dc groups. Embroider the beak (Color D) and sew the face to R11 of the body.

Step 8

WINGS (x2): With A, ch 8. Crochet along the chain with dc, hdc, sc, and a 3-st increase at the tip. Fasten off.

Step 9

FEET (x2): With D (Pumpkin), ch 4. In the 4th ch, work: [2 dc, ch 3, 1 sl st]. Fasten off. Sew to the base of the body.

Step 10

SCARF: With C (White), ch 42. R1: 1 hdc in the 3rd ch and in each remaining ch (40 hdc). Fasten off and weave in ends.

Step 11

FINAL ASSEMBLY: Sew the wings to the sides. Wrap the scarf around the neck and secure it with small stitches.
