Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Start with a 3.5 mm crochet hook and cotton or viscose yarn, and work the pattern according to the diagram. Remember to maintain the same gauge tension.

Once the entire Diagram A.1 has been worked vertically, continue with Diagram 2, repeating it 6 times around the round. Diagram A.3 shows how to start and end each round.
Step 3
Once Diagram 2 has been worked vertically once, you should have 96 double crochets and 24 chains in the round, totaling 120 stitches. The piece will measure approximately 11 cm in diameter.
Step 4
Then, work Diagram 4 a total of 12 times around the round. Diagram A.5 shows how to start and end each round.
Step 5
Once Diagram A.3 has been worked vertically, the piece will measure approximately 27 cm in diameter and you should have 192 double crochets in the round. Cut and secure the yarn.
