Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
FLOWER CORE: Start with MR. R1: ch 3, 10 sc. R2: ch 2, 10 hdc inc (20). R3: 6 sc, [1 sc, 1 inc] x4, 6 sc. This creates a firm central base for the stem.

Step 2
SMALL PETALS (x2): R1: 10 sc in MR. R2: 10 hdc inc (20). R3: 6 sc, [1 sc, ch 1] x8, 6 sc. These petals will wrap around the initial core.

Step 3
MIDDLE PETALS (x3): R1: 10 sc in MR. R2: 10 hdc inc (20). R3: [1 hdc, 1 hdc inc] x10 (30). R4: 2 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc, [1 sc, ch 1] x14, 4 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc (28).

Step 4
LARGE PETALS (x5): R1-R3: Same as middle petal. R4: Increases with intermediate chains are worked to create the wavy edge effect of a real Floyd rose.

Step 5
SEPAL (GREEN BASE): R1-R2: MR with 10 sc then 10 inc (20). R3-R11: 5 triangular points are worked individually over the circular base, decreasing until finishing with a hdc.

Step 6
LEAVES (x3): ch 10. R1: Include the wire while working sc, hdc, dc, and tr. R2: Outline with [1 sc, ch 2] to create the natural serrated edge of the leaf.

Step 7
FLOWER ASSEMBLY: Glue the core to the stem. Wrap the small petals, then the middle ones, and finally the large ones, interleaving them. Fix the green sepal under the corolla.

Step 8
FINISHING: Wrap the stem with green yarn. Halfway down, attach the 3 wired leaves and continue wrapping to the end. Secure with hot glue. Rose complete!
