Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
START AND ROW 1: With main color (deep blue), ch 100. R1: sc in 2nd ch from hook. *ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch* repeat to end. Turn. (99 sts).

Step 2
MOSS STITCH BASE: R2: ch 1, sc in first sc, *sc in ch-sp, ch 1, skip 1 sc* repeat to end, finishing with sc in last sc. R3: ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in ch-sp* repeat to end. Turn.

Step 3
FIRST SEQUENCE: Continue in moss stitch with Main Color (10 rows). Switch to Color A (4 rows, do not cut). Switch to Color B (2 rows, cut). Back to Color A (4 rows, cut).

Step 4
CENTRAL COLOR BLOCK: Work with Main Color (10 rows). Color B (2 rows). Color A (6 rows). Color C (6 rows, do not cut). Color D (2 rows). Color C (6 rows).

Step 5
TRANSITION AND REPEAT: Color A (6 rows). Color B (2 rows). Main Color (14 rows). Now repeat the sequence from the first Color B block to the end of the previous Color B block.

Step 6
FINISHING: Repeat the first 10-row sequence of the main color to balance the design. Fasten off, weave in all ends with the yarn needle, and block the piece if necessary to define measurements.
