Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

MATERIALS: Premier Hipster™ Cotton (1 skein). Hook 4 mm. Tapestry needle, markers, four 4” self-adhesive cork rounds.

Step 2

ABBREVIATION GUIDE: ch, sc, dc, hdc, sl st. yo (yarn over), beg (begin), rep (repeat).

Step 3

MAGIC RING: Wrap yarn twice on finger. Pull up loop, ch 1. Work into center. Tighten by pulling yarn tail.

Step 4

POPCORN STITCH: 4 dc in st, remove hook, insert into 1st dc top, pull extended loop through, close.

Step 5

Rnd 1 (Base): Make Magic Ring. Work 8 sc inside. Join with sl st to 1st sc. (8 sc).

Step 6

Rnd 2: Ch 1. 2 hdc in each st around. Join. (+8 sts, 16 hdc).

Step 7

Rnd 3: Ch 1. *1 hdc, 2 hdc in next st.* Rep from * until join. (+8 sts, 24 hdc).

Step 8

Rnd 4: Ch 1. *hdc in 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st.* Rep from * until join. (+8 sts, 32 hdc).

Step 9

Rnd 5: Ch 1. *hdc in 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st.* Rep from * until join. (+8 sts, 40 hdc).

Step 10

SIMPLE DOTS (R 6): Make 2. Ch 3. Popcorn in 1st st. sc in 4 hdc. *Ch 3, Popcorn, sc in 4 hdc.*

Step 11

SIMPLE DOTS (End): Rep from * and join to Popcorn base. Fasten off. (8 Popcorns).

Step 12

BOHO BOBBLES (R 6): Make 2. From R 5, ch 1. *hdc in 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st.* Join. (+8 sts, 48 hdc).

Step 13

BOHO BOBBLES (R 7): Ch 3. *Popcorn in 3rd ch. Ch 2. Skip 2 hdc. sl st in next hdc.*

Step 14

BOHO BOBBLES (End): Rep from * and join to ch 3 base. Fasten off. (16 Popcorns).

Step 15

FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY: Weave in all ends. Glue 4” self-adhesive cork round to the back (WS) of each coaster.
