Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Stitches used: Single crochet, Chain stitch, Stockinette stitch. We will start with the royal blue.

Step 2

Body: Round 1, make 6 single crochets in the magic ring. Round 2, increase in all stitches (12). Round 3, 1 single crochet in each stitch (12).

Step 3

Round 5 to 8: 1 single crochet in each stitch, but working back and forth to leave a hole.

Step 4

Round 9: we resume working in the round and crochet 1 single crochet in each stitch (12). Rounds 10 to 18: 1 single crochet in each stitch (12).

Step 5

Round 19: single crochet 2, turn the work, and crochet 1 stitch in each stitch until you reach the stitch where you turned, to create the second hole parallel to the first (12).

Step 6

Rounds 20 to 22: crochet 1 stitch in each stitch back and forth to form the hole (12).

Step 7

Round 23: we resume working in the round again and crochet 1 stitch in each stitch (12). Rounds 24 to 32: 1 stitch in each stitch (12). Round 33: Six decreases (6). Cut the yarn and fasten off.

Step 8

Go to the second hole and pick up 12 stitches around it. Crochet these 12 stitches in a spiral for 25 rounds. Stuff and insert the pipe cleaner.

Step 9

Sew the piece we just made to the first hole, thus forming the letter P.

Step 10

Cape: Cast on 15 stitches on 4.5mm knitting needles and knit 28 rows in stockinette stitch. First row knit, second row purl.

Step 11

Bind off the stitches and weave in the ends. Cut a long tail, thread a needle, and make a running stitch along the bound-off edge. With the remaining ends, sew the cape to the body of the P.
