Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Step 1

SQUARE CONSTRUCTION: You must crochet 24 squares following the circular-square diagram. Each square starts with a magic ring or a 4-stitch chain and grows in concentric rounds of double crochet and chains.

Step 2

Step 2

SIZE ADJUSTMENT: The base pattern is for size S. If you need a larger size, simply add one or two additional 'granny stitch' rounds (3 dc, 1 ch) around each square before finishing.

Step 3

Step 3

ASSEMBLY PREPARATION: Once the 24 squares are finished, block them (moisten and shape them) so they all have exactly the same measurement. This will greatly facilitate the subsequent joining.

Step 4

Step 4

BODY JOINING (FRONT AND BACK): Following assembly diagram 1, join the squares corresponding to the torso (front and back) using slip stitches through the back loop for an invisible and flat seam.

Step 5

Step 5

SLEEVE CONFIGURATION: The sleeves are formed by aligning the remaining squares according to the diagram. Join the squares to each other first to form two long strips and then close them into a tube shape.

Step 6

Step 6

SHOULDER AND SIDE ASSEMBLY: Join the front and back parts at the shoulders, leaving the necessary space for the neck. Then, join the sides leaving the opening for the sleeves.

Step 7

Step 7

SLEEVE MOUNTING: Insert the sleeves into the side gaps of the body. Ensure the seams align. Sew or join with slip stitches on the wrong side of the garment for a clean finish.

Step 8

Step 8

FINAL FINISHING: Crochet a round of single crochet or ribbing around the neck, cuffs, and waist to reinforce the edges and give it a professional finish. Weave in all remaining yarn ends.
