Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
You can make the fringes directly on the edge of the work, or make one or more rows of double crochet around the tapestry to create a firmer edge.

Step 2
Cut a length of yarn twice the desired fringe length plus an additional 5 cm.

Step 3
Take four or more strands like this and fold them in half.

Step 4
Insert a large hook into the edge of the work from back to front, and pull the folded end of the yarn through to form a loop.

Step 5
Pull the yarn ends through the loop and tighten the knot. Repeat at regular intervals and then trim the ends with sharp scissors to even them out.
