Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Make a foundation chain and work into the 3rd chain from the start, which will be marked in a darker shade for distinction.
Step 2
Yarn over the hook.
Step 3
Insert the hook into the chain stitch. Since this is the first stitch, insert it into the third chain of the foundation to offset the height of the finished stitch.
Step 4
Yarn over the hook again. The yarn overs are shown in orange for distinction.
Step 5
Pull the last yarn over through the chain stitch.
Step 6
There are three loops on the hook.
Step 7
Yarn over again and pull it through all the loops as shown in figure number eight.
Step 8
Finally, pull the last yarn over through the remaining loops on the hook.
Step 9
This completes the first stitch. Repeat all the steps from step 2 for each following stitch.
