Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
The single crochet is made starting from the second chain stitch.
Step 2
Insert the hook into the second chain stitch.
Step 3
Yarn over the hook.
Step 4
Pull the yarn through the chain stitch...
Step 5
...until it is completely pulled through. There are two loops on the hook.
Step 6
Yarn over the hook again.
Step 7
And pull that yarn through both loops on the hook.
Step 8
This completes the first single crochet. Continue from step 2 with the next chain stitch.
Step 9
For a single crochet/half stitch, 1 chain is needed.
